ALMATY, Kazakhstan, Jan 16 (PRIME) -- Sistema PBO, the owner of fast food chain Vkusno i tochka, has submitted applications to register the trademark in Kazakhstan, a representative for the Justice Ministry of the country told PRIME on Monday.
"Trademark indicated as Vkusno i tochka is not on the Republic of Kazakhstan's state list of trademarks at present. However, applications for registration of trademarks containing words Vkusno i tochka were sent by Sistema PBO and are being considered by the expert organization (the Justice Ministry's intellectual property institute)," the official said.
Kazakh company ТОО Food Solutions KZ, the operator of the McDonald’s restaurant chain in the country, suspended its work in mid-November because of supply disruptions.
Earlier in January, the international fast food chain in Kazakhstan said that the restaurants under the management of ТОО Food Solutions KZ would no longer work under the McDonald’s brand.
